Jim Matheny
Emmy Award-winning reporter and photojournalist

Welcome to Jim Matheny's ePortfolio. Nearly all of my spare time is consumed proudly serving the people of East Tennessee as a reporter and photojournalist at WBIR-TV 10 News, so please forgive any delays in updating this website.

If you have been here before, you know this place is down to the bare bones. The buttons normally on the left side of the page that linked to the various sections of the site are temporarily offline. Those sections will return when I give this place a makeover.

Prominently displayed in lieu of the buttons is a photo of my cheesy grin and a golden lady. I am thrilled to say the Japanese flag story from my days at KOMU won an Emmy for best "Historical/Cultural News/Feature" at the 2009 Mid-America Emmy Awards.

The video of the Japanese flag story is embedded below in standard definition. If your computer can handle it, watch the story in High Definition at Vimeo.
